Italian language translations have few complications for professional Italian translators. This is equally true for both Italian into English translation and English into Italian translation.
Italian is an official language in Italy and Switzerland, with large Italian speaking populations in several other countries. Whilst there are significant differences between the many dialects of spoken Italian, written Italian is standardized, with only minor regional variation in vocabulary. Therefore except in rare cases a single Italian translation can be used for all target markets.
Italian Typesetting
Italian is a straightforward language to typeset in all major graphic design programs, although occasionally accented letters, and particularly the letter à, will display incorrectly and need manual correction. Space issues can sometimes arise as Italian translations can be longer than the original English text.
When typesetting into an existing English graphic design file, the same fonts can almost always be used for the Italian text.
