what is Accelerated Learning??
Accelerated Learning is a different approach to learning of all kinds, but an approach that is particularly suited to foreign language learning.
It is a combination of teaching and learning techniques that
have been developed as a result of extensive research conducted
over several decades in some of the world's most prestigious
research institutions into how the human brain functions and
how we learn and retain information.
The
methodology recognises that individuals have different favoured
learning styles and that most efficient learning is achieved
when both the right and left hemispheres of the brain are brought
into play. Activities endeavour to combine visual and auditory
stimuli with physical movement to maximise learning and retention.
How are the classes/courses different??
Accelerated Learning classes are much more lively and active than more traditional courses. You'll find them fun and enjoyable. The objective is to eliminate tension and tedium, which stifle learning, stimulate the student's interest, and generate active participation in the class.
In addition to role playing, questions and answers, and guided
conversations, we make use of selected music and specific games
and other physical activities.
How fast can I learn my new language??
The speed with which a foreign language will be learnt tends
to vary significantly from individual to individual. However,
our commitment is to quality teaching that will generate significant
results, and we use what we believe to be the best and most
efficient one-on-one and small group language learning material
available in the world for your language. Your tutor is a native
speaker and a skilled and experienced teacher in that language.
How fast you learn will depend on the time commitment you can
bring to your course, and on how fast you expect to learn. However,
as a guide hundreds of cases have been documented worldwide
of people reaching fluency in a foreign language through Accelerated
Learning courses in as little as 96 contact hours. You should
also expect to be speaking with only the most minimal "foreign"
accent.
